The second GP of the season in Formula 1 was run on Sunday in Saudi Arabia.

Lewis Hamilton, who yesterday suffered a failure in the qualifiers when he failed to advance as from Q1, could never do anything from his position.

Instead, the fight was between Monegasque Charles Leclerc, Ferrari, and Dutchman Max Verstappen, Red Bull.

It was Verstappen who was first in the track, but Leclerc, who won the Bahrain GP, chased close behind.

The Ferrari star made some attempts to get around, but the yellow flag prevailed during parts of the final laps.

Verstappen was able to hold off and the Red Bull driver thus got his revenge after leaving the Bahrain GP scoreless.

- I am very happy that we can really kick off the season for real now, says Verstappen in Viasat's broadcast.

- It was very tough, but it was a good race, we fought well there at the top, he says.

Congratulations Verstappen via the radio

Leclerc did not manage to take his second GP victory in a row, but still leads the summary.

 - I am of course disappointed, I wanted to win today, he says in Viasat's broadcast.

After the race, Leclerc could be heard congratulating Verstappen on the radio.

- Respect has always been there, we have pushed each other to the absolute limit, we take risks, done with respect, but it is clear that I am disappointed anyway, he says.

The next competition will take place in Australia on April 8-10.
