After an incomparable season, Jonna Sundling continues to excel.

In the sprint at the Swedish Championships in Piteå, she was the fastest in the qualifiers and won both the quarterfinals and the semifinals easily.

- She controls and sets and does a little as she wants right now, says SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist during the final session.

Nor in the final could anyone upset the 27-year-old - even if the victory was far in the making.

Sundling took the lead immediately and set a real pace.

Already in the second climb, she pressed extra and got a gap Johanna Hagström who chased closest behind.

However, Hagström came back, caught up and then followed Sundling all the way into the riot.

Elina Rönnlund, who has not competed in two years due to a back injury, made it to the finals.

There it was a sixth place for the 25-year-old.

- It is impressive of Elina Rönnlund.

She was a good sprinter before she got her injury, says SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist.

Frida Karlsson, who was twelve in the qualifiers, did not start in the final due to illness.

"She is not healthy, she has gone home", wrote her mother Mia Karlsson in a text message to SVT Sport earlier today.
