Junior Edvin Anger won the sprint qualifier at the Swedish Championships in Piteå, ahead of all established senior skiers.

Behind that, Sollefteå's Anton Eriksson made a fine qualifier and went on to become the 25th skier, ahead of, among others, World Cup skiers like Eric Rosjö and the sprint phantom Marcus Grate.

Eriksson met, among others, Karl-Johan Westberg in his quarterfinals.

Eriksson's day, on the other hand, ended quickly, already after the start.

The Sollefte skier, who was previously a talent in the Nordic combination, lost his ski at high speed.

- Then that day was ruined for Anton Eriksson, says Jacob Hård in SVT's broadcast.

- Hope he did not hurt himself.

It was a high, high, jump.

Sad, it was a nice qualifier of him otherwise, says SVT's expert Anders Blomquist.

Eriksson then got a new ski from clubmate Jenny Solin, who snapped off his own and gave it to Eriksson.
