Luleå had a match ball before Saturday's meeting with Linköping in the fourth semifinal of the SDHL playoffs.

The team from Norrbotten won the first two matches in the series and had a match ball before the third match last.

When Linköping's Moa Wernblom was shown for tripping, Petra Nieminen took the opportunity to put 1-0 to Luleå in numerical superiority.

With three minutes left of the first period, Linnea Johansson reduced for Linköping, in powerplay.

The second period seemed to end goalless.

Anna Kjellbin then put 3-1 to Luleå, also in numerical superiority.

Petra Nieminen also assisted on this goal, her third point of the match.

That was the end result as the third period offered no goals.

Brynäs is now waiting in the final for Luleå, which won the Swedish Championship gold in 2017/2018, 2019/2019 and 2020/2021.

Luleå can thus win its fourth straight Swedish Championship gold.

The 2019/2020 season did not become a team champion, due to the pandemic.
