Shohei Ohtani of the Major League Baseball Angels will be the opening pitcher of this season.
This was revealed by Angels coach Maddon on the 25th.
Otani will start the game against the Astros at Angel Stadium on the 7th of next month.
Otani has been the opening pitcher twice during the professional baseball and Nippon-Ham era, but this is the first time in the major leagues.
