I have been working hard for my dream

【Our new era】

February 6, the day of the 20th Women's Asian Cup final.

In the unfavorable situation of being two goals behind, the head coach Shui Qingxia replaced me on the field. I first made a penalty kick, and Tang Jiali took the penalty to make the score 1-2. After only 4 minutes, I scored another header. To tie the game, when the game was about to enter overtime, Xiao Yuyi broke into the penalty area and scored a volley. The Chinese team sealed the victory 3:2.

After a lapse of 16 years, the Chinese women's football team returned to the top of Asia and won the Asian Cup for the ninth time.

I am 21 years old, and I only played 3 times in the national team before participating in the Asian Cup.

However, this does not affect my determination to win glory for the country and recreate the glory of the Chinese women's football team.

When I was 12 years old, I had a dream: to lead the Chinese team to surpass Sun Wen's era.

I've been working on it as well, and have been selected for the national team of various age groups.

In the second half of 2021, I will first represent the Guangzhou Women's Football Team in the Women's League One, and then I will represent the Beijing Women's Football Team in the Shaanxi National Games.

With my excellent performance, my national team career has also ushered in new opportunities. Shui Qingxia, the new coach of the Chinese women's football team, has included me in the 23-man squad for the 2022 Asian Cup in India.

In the first group match against Chinese Taipei, in the knockout round against Vietnam and in the semi-final against Japan, I was given the chance to start.

But the most memorable moment for me was coming off the bench in the final, which was the happiest moment of the tournament.

"As the youngest player in Shui Qingxia's team, Zhang Linyan played such a pivotal role in this victory and shined brightly, but looking at the winger's past, you can see that this may be a predestined moment. "She has written her name in the history of Chinese football, both literally and figuratively." These comments on the official website of the AFC are not only affirmations for me and the Chinese women's football team, but also encouragement We are working towards higher and farther goals.
