At the Swedish Championships week in Piteå, Alba Boström, Öjeby AK, broke a new Nordic record in bench press.
She pressed 119 kg.
- I had a plan of 115 kg.
then I went and thought 116, 118 ... Then it went so well in training so we went for 119, she says in the broadcast.
In the first branch, squats, Alba Boström had a hard time when she managed 147.5 kg.
- I have problems with pain so knew I was not in top shape
Alba Boström is second in the powerlifting branch after two of three branches (squats and bench press), only ground lifting remains.
Leading the competition is Elsa Paulsson.
- I will not give up.
I will give everything, says Boström.
