The Ängelholm team Rögle has made a phenomenal basic series this SHL season and it ended tonight by defeating Timrå.

That victory also meant that they secured the series victory and thus have to face the lower ranked team from the round of 16 in the quarterfinals.

The teams that play in the round of 16 are Örebro, Leksand, Oskarshamn and Brynäs.

The only goal of the match was scored by the Czech defender Vojtech Mozik, his first since joining Rögle earlier this season.

But the final basic league match may have turned out to be expensive for the Scanians.

Two key players, Anton Bengtsson and Adam Tambellini, left games without returning.

Bengtsson did not play anymore after the first period, but the club has not communicated why.

Tambellini crashed into the rim in the third period and went off the ice himself, but straight into the locker room.
