Three riders participating in the Tour of Catalonia near Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales) on Tuesday took the wrong route.
The cyclists found themselves in the wrong direction, facing cars on the wrong side of a fast lane, reports Actu Perpignan.

After passing Collioure, the peloton took the right part of the RD914 towards Perpignan, the stage's finish town.
But the American Joe Dombrowski, the Polish Cesare Benedetti and the Spaniard Mikel Bizkarra opted for the left part of the section, even though it was not closed to traffic.
Several kilometers in the opposite direction
They continued on their way for several kilometres, passing motorists on their way, before joining the other competitors.
To do this, they had to climb the concrete central reservation with their bikes.
Because of the delay, none of the three distracted cyclists could win this second stage of the Tour of Catalonia.
