The Allsvenskan premiere is just over a week away and the training matches are in full swing.

As recently as Monday, Varberg played pre-season against Landskrona.

There was a loss against the Superettan club with 0-1.

Varberg's coach Joakim Persson believes that they had enough chances to win the match.

- If we score on one of these, it will be a completely different experience, but in its entirety it feels a bit like we were left in Spain in some places and edges, he says to the club's own website.

"Will be forced to step up"

He sends a pass to the players.

- We have some players who will be forced to step up to get into the fight, the squad is both even and good and there are probably just over twenty players who want to join when it starts on April 3.

In other respects, however, Persson believes that Varberg feels safe in the game.

On Saturday, the team's last training match (Norrby IF) awaits before the premiere against IFK Norrköping.
