Yesterday, the Swedish Football Association announced that Ludwig Augustinsson was "a little fussy" and could not train.

On Wednesday night, just over a day before the playoff semifinal against the Czech Republic, the news came:

Ludwig Austinsson is ill and can not play.

Instead, Djurgården's Pierre Bengtsson is called in as a replacement.

- Pierre was an obvious choice based on what he has achieved with us before, says the national team captain Janne Andersson, in a statement on the association's website.

Bengtsson new in Djurgården

Augustinsson has for several years been a regular at the left-back position in the national team.

In the last year, however, he has had extremely sparse playing time in Spanish Sevilla.

Pierre Bengtsson, who signed for Djurgården last winter when he left FC Copenhagen, was part of the Swedish European Championship squad last summer where he had to make three innings.

It was his last international.

In addition to Bengtsson, Martin Olsson is also a left back in the Swedish squad.
