The former Östersund player had as late as January signed for the Ukrainian club Tjornomorets Odessa when the war broke out just under a month ago.
He managed to get out of the country, and has now finished with a new club.
Injury concerns in the team
Today, Kalmar FF, where he played before moving to Ukraine, announced that they have signed an agreement with Bergqvist that is valid until 30 June.

Kalmar's sports director Jörgen Petersson explains that they were in need of a midfielder due to injury concerns in the squad.
