It was in a messy situation in the autumn's last World Cup qualifier, in the Spanish penalty area, that Zlatan Ibrahimovic put his left arm and elbow in the back of Spain's Cesar Azpilicueta who fell into the grass.

It gave the Swede a yellow card, which means that he is now suspended in the match against the Czech Republic on Thursday.

A few short jumps

If Sweden wins, they will face Poland in a directly decisive match on Tuesday, for a place in the Qatar World Cup.

Then Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available, but he now says that it will not be a whole match.

"I do not have 90 minutes in me," he said at today's press conference.

He has made a couple of short innings in Milan since the health injury he suffered in January, but is thus a bit away from top form.

- Before the gathering, we have communicated with each other, me and Janne (Andersson, the national team captain), and I am here for what he needs me for.

Then how much it will be on the plane, it's up to Janne.

He's the boss.

But I am available for what he needs me for.

I have not played much lately, but I build up my condition and body to feel good - because when I feel good, the rest comes, he says, and states:

- I'm an old man, but he (the body) is fine.

"A seat I had for a long time"

Federation captain Janne Andersson said at yesterday's press conference that Zlatan Ibrahimovic contributes a lot as a leader with his experience, and it is a role that the 40-year-old veteran accepts.

- It is a seat I have had for a long time, since I came to Milan where it is about the same seat.

I like the situation, he says, and continues later:

- It is a role I like and something I have grown into. I feel very good and think I handle it well.

"I'm hungry"

There is no doubt about his hunger.

- There are three things it is about: It is the World Cup, a "Scudetto" (Italian league title) and a cup.

It can not get bigger than that.

But it swings very fast.

I'm hungry.

I want more.

You should not be happy, but always want more.

Constantly strive for more, he tells SVT Sport.
