One of Sweden's most successful skiers ends his career.
Charlotte Kalla announces that the Swedish Championships in Piteå will be the 34-year-old's last competition.
SVT Sports expert Mathias Fredriksson is not particularly surprised when he is reached by the message.
- Waited, I must say.
It has not been the same Charlotte Kalla in terms of results in recent seasons that we have been used to.
But it has been Sweden's by far the best female skier of all time, so it has been an incomparable career.
Everything has an end and it was a good time to put that point on, says Fredriksson, who does not have to think long about what he will above all remember from Kalla's career:
- It is mainly her championship.
She has been absolutely phenomenal in riding as fast as possible when it has been most important at the championships.
