Bad luck continues Marc Marquez.

The six-time MotoGP world champion is again suffering from vision problems, as he announced on Tuesday on social networks.

"I feel like I'm going through a deja vu," said the 29-year-old Spaniard, two days after suffering a concussion in a fall during the Indonesian Grand Prix warm-up.

During the trip back to Spain, I began to experience discomfort with my vision, and we decided to visit Dr. Sanchez Dalmau, who confirmed that I was suffering from a new episode of diplopia.

Marquez had already suffered from this doubling of vision after an accident in the fall of 2021, during a preparatory test for the Algarve GP in Portugal, which deprived her of the last two races of the season.

He had managed to overcome this problem before his fall on Sunday, at around 180 km / h, "perhaps one of the biggest" of his career according to him.

"It's time to rest"

The Catalan had been evacuated by helicopter to a hospital on the island of Lombok where the circuit is located, for additional examinations, before withdrawing from the race.

However, he wanted to reassure: his diplopia “is less serious than the lesion [that he] had at the end of last year.

But now it's time to rest and wait to see how [it] develops”.

The problems therefore continue for Marc Marquez: before his crash at the end of 2021, the pilot had broken his right arm during the first GP 2020, depriving him of the whole season and the first GPs of 2021. The next Grand Prix, that of Argentina, is scheduled for April 3.

Marquez's participation is highly uncertain at the moment.

“Next week, Marc Marquez will undergo a new examination to assess the evolution of the injury and to predict the estimated recovery period for the return to competition,” said Dr. Sanchez Dalmau, quoted in a statement from Honda.
