Benoît Costil had an altercation with one of the leaders of the Ultramarines before being accused of racism by the group of supporters during the match against Montpellier.
He has since met his management and is thinking about his future at the club.
The locker room supported him on Monday and could publish a press release to this effect.
The club has still not reacted.
The tension remains extremely high at the Girondins de Bordeaux after the nightmarish afternoon experienced on Sunday, between the new home defeat against Montpellier (0-2) 11 against 9 and the incidents with the supporters during and after the meeting.
The Benoît Costil affair crystallizes this.
The international goalkeeper had an altercation with one of the leaders of the Ultramarines, the largest group of Bordeaux supporters before being simply accused of racism by the latter.

Benoît Costil announced at the end of the meeting to certain teammates and employees that he would quickly leave the club.
This Monday, the doorman seemed a little less assertive.
He showed up at training for the scrubbing before meeting the technical director, Admar Lopes, with his representative.
At this stage, there would be no negotiations strictly speaking on a possible breach of contract before the end of the season, but a reflection on his future.
It is not yet known if the player intends to file a complaint after these accusations of racism and especially if the Ultramarines intend to publicly provide evidence for their accusations.
A reflective letter of support
In the locker room and around the club, few people understand this accusation.
Several of them like Grégory Coupet, the current goalkeeper coach, or Frédéric Roux, former club doorman and close friend of Benoît Costil, have given him their support.
Players such as Enock Kwateng and Mbaye Niang also refuted any act of racism on the part of their teammate during exchanges with supporters after the match, specifies
Sud Ouest.
I do not understand where this rumor of racism comes from because I can assure you that it is not.
The altercation with Anel is nothing more than a communication problem due to the fact that they do not speak the same language and that it was the first time that they played together...

This Monday, the entire locker room supported the goalkeeper during a group cohesion meeting with the management, which was represented by Admar Lopes, Thomas Jacquemier (general manager) and James Steven (one of the arms rights).
Since then, the players have been considering issuing a statement of support on their behalf, for lack of official communication from the club.
The reflection is still in progress this Tuesday morning but they want this letter to be legally solid and above all validated by all, in particular the internationals who are not necessarily on site during this truce.
In the meantime, this Tuesday's pétanque afternoon has been cancelled...
