World number three Rafael Nadal had a difficult Sunday.
He lost the final of the ATP Indian Wells Masters - against 20th-ranked Taylor Fritz - and said afterwards that he was in excruciating pain.
- I was in pain, honestly, he says at the press conference.
Breathing difficulties
Nadal struggled with a foot injury for much of last season and came back in time to win the Australian Open.
Now there is something in his chest that is holding him back.
- I have trouble breathing.
I do not know if there is anything on the rib, I do not know yet.
When I breathe, when I move, it's like a needle all the time in here.
The Spaniard is worried about the gravel season.
- Now it's time to solve this problem as soon as possible, try to start on gravel.
What worries me now, it's about what's going on there, what I have to do now to recover and how long it will take.
