Back to reality for the players of the XV of France rugby after a magical weekend.

Saturday evening, the French team won the Grand Slam in the Six Nations Tournament, a first for twelve years.

Two days after this feat, the Blues each returned to their respective clubs with one goal in mind: to make French rugby shine.

The Rugby World Cup will take place from September 8 to October 28, 2023 in France.

An event expected by many and especially by the Blues.

The new star of the XV of France, Antoine Dupont, admits it without restraint, 2023, they talk about it among themselves.

Even the president of the French Rugby Federation, Bernard Laporte, gave them an appointment in the final.

"That's what I tell them, when you get up every morning, you have to think about October 28, 2023, you have to say to yourself 'I'll be there on October 28, 2023', that's what lives in the champion, who must lead them to move forward," he said.

Tricolor rugby returns to the race

These Blues Fabien Galthié version beat New Zealand this fall.

This weekend, they won their first title.

After years of loss, of misery, tricolor rugby is coming back to life.

"I think we have exceeded 75% of victories, in all competitions. We are world No. 2. That means we are on the right track with a team that is still young, at 26 years old age and a little over 20 selections. So there is no reason for the team not to continue to progress", he judges.

Fabien Galthié has made his calculation, he was celebrating his 25th match at the head of the Blues against the English on Saturday.

For the World Cup final, it will be his 46th match.

"It's clear in our heads," he explains.

A sign of the enthusiasm for the Blues, 80,000 tickets for the semi-finals, the small final and the final of the 2023 World Cup went on sale last week and left in less than three hours.

The next sales session will take place in September.
