Massive absences of the Syrian national team before the Lebanon match

The coach of the Syrian national team, Ghassan Maatouk, indicated in a press conference yesterday that nine players were absent from the list he chose for the Lebanon match, including six due to injury: Omar Khirbin (Al-Wehda), Hossam Ayesh (Gotburg, Sweden), Mahmoud Al-Bahr (Bahrain Riffa) and Ward Al-Salama (Manama). Maatouk added that the Saudi Al-Ahly striker Omar Al-Soma apologized for joining the Syrian national team in the current period, due to his lack of psychological preparation, and he is also absent from the Lebanon match, Mahmoud Al-Mawas, due to the accumulation of warnings.


Syria concludes the decisive role against Iraq in Dubai on the 29th of this month.
