Manchester City crush Southampton and reach the FA Cup semi-finals

Manchester City beat Southampton 4-1 in the FA Cup quarter-finals and went on to fight for three titles.

City advanced with a goal after 12 minutes when Jack Stevens lost the ball, and Gabriel Jesus sent a pass to Raheem Sterling to shoot directly and the ball hit his opponent Tino Livramento and entered the net of goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

Southampton threatened City's goal more than once and equalized before the break, as Mohamed El-Younissi sent a low cross that defender Aymeric Laporte mistakenly missed.

The English Premier League leaders regained the lead in the 62nd minute when Jesus was fouled inside the area by Mohamed Salisu, and Kevin De Bruyne successfully executed the penalty kick past goalkeeper Forster.

Substitute Phil Foden scored a goal with a shot from the edge of the area 15 minutes before the end, then Riyad Mahrez finished the goals.
