The Chinese women's volleyball team is in Group D, with opponents in the same group being Brazil, Japan, Colombia, Argentina and the Czech Republic.

The top 4 in the group advance to Phase 2.

  There are 24 teams participating in this World Championship, and a total of 100 games will be played.

In the first stage of the group stage, the 24 teams will be divided into 4 groups, and each group of 6 teams will compete in a single round-robin competition. The top 4 teams in each group will advance to the top 16 semi-finals.

  The 2022 World Women's Volleyball Championship will be held from September 23 to October 15 and will be jointly hosted by the Netherlands and Poland.
