Rafael Nadal is still undefeated this year.

He won the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells ATP tournament last night, defeating Nick Kyrgios 2-1 in sets, 7-6 (7-0), 5-7, 6-4.

- Sometimes I played well.

It's hard to meet him.

It's always tough, says Nadal, according to the ATP tour's website.

Eleventh Indian Wells Semin

Nadal has won the tournament, which is one of the biggest outside of the four Grand Slam competitions, three times before.

The advancement to the semifinals, which is his eleventh in Indian Wells, means that he has now won 953 matches outdoors on the ATP Tour.

This means that he has now broken Roger Federer's record, according to tennis statistician Damian Modlinski.

In the semifinals, Nadal, who has won all 19 of his matches in 2022, will face compatriot Carlos Alcaraz.
