It has been an eventful week for Erik Källgren.

The 25-year-old, who won Swedish Championship gold with Växjö last season, started on Tuesday for the first time and did it in great style.

He kept a clean sheet and countered all 35 shots against Dallas.

In tonight's match against Carolina, he got the chance from the start again - and took it.

Källgren accounted for 34 saves when Toronto won 3-2 and he was also named the match's liar.

- It has been one of the most eventful weeks in my life, a lot has happened, says Källgren at the press conference after the match.

Källgren's big game comes at the right time for Toronto.

First goalkeeper Jack Campbell is injured and reserve Petr Mrazek has played weakly and received a lot of criticism.
