The growing self-confidence among the women of Frankfurt Eintracht is reflected in the choice of words with a delay.

While the SBU recently considered point gains in the top Bundesliga teams to be a sporting sensation, head coach Niko Arnautis is currently only talking about a “little surprise”.

And that is if his players got something from champions Bayern Munich this Friday evening (7.15 p.m. on Eurosport).

The southern Germans have been unbeaten in the league for eight games and are in second place in the tableau.

The basis for this is the strongest offensive (58 hits) and the most stable defense (ten goals conceded).

The Bayern women suffered three of them in the first leg on the Main.

The 3-2 victory fought in the final minutes was a high point in the club's recent history in the league for the Frankfurt team.

After the somewhat meager 1-0 home win against Essen last Sunday, the Hessians in Munich "need a great day along with the necessary effectiveness in evaluating chances," said sporting director Siegfried Dietrich.

"This is exactly what we dreamed of in the summer"

In the fight for the Champions League qualification, Eintracht should not go away empty-handed in the forthcoming duels against the top teams from Munich and Wolfsburg, given the narrow table constellation.

"That's exactly what we dreamed of in the summer," said Arnautis about the sporting status quo, which still makes many things seem possible.

And with a view to the match, with which the Frankfurt women could move up to three points on FCB: “We want to embody Eintracht Frankfurt, play courageous and aggressive football and go beyond our pain threshold.

We go into the game with great motivation and joy.”

That could be a plus for the Hessian guest team.

Because the eyes of the Bayern women should already be on their Champions League duel against Paris St. Germain next Tuesday.

Which will take place in the large Fröttmaninger Arena and not in the Bayern Campus, which is traditionally poorly attended at home games.

Eintracht has already suffered a defeat there this season.

In the 4-2 defeat in the DFB Cup round of 16, the Frankfurt women were clearly inferior.

Now the SBU in the league has ten days to come that will decide the season.
