Kang Jung-ho, who was suspended from playing after a drunk driving accident, will return to his former professional baseball team, Kiwoom.

Kiwoom announced today (18th) that they signed a player contract with Kang Jung-ho for this season, and decided to pay the minimum salary to Kang Jung-ho.

Kiwoom asked the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) this morning to approve Kang Jung-ho's voluntary termination return.

It is known that Kiwoom general manager Koh Hyung-wook talked to Kang Jeong-ho, who is staying in the United States, on several phone calls last week to convey his intention to recruit him.

General Manager Koh Hyung-wook explained the background of the recruitment, "As a senior baseball player who has been a baseball player for over 40 years, I wanted to give Kang Jung-ho one last chance to finish as a baseball player."

Kang Jung-ho, who is scheduled to undergo personal training in the United States, is expected to enter Korea on a later date.
