With Timrå and Djurgården suspended at the bottom of the table, most of it is about which SHL teams will take care of the final play-off places.

Before Thursday night's matches, Linköping and Malmö had three points up to Brynäs in the last and tenth playoff spot, but with one match less played.

Now they have played it.

And after the LHC's late turn against Oskarshamn, there are now four teams involved in the battle for the last two playoff spots (see fact box below).

- It's really fun that we succeed because we really needed this victory.

It was strong of us to come back, it shows what morale we have in the team, says Linköping's match winner Robert Lantosi to Cmore.

Oskarshamn's coach Martin Filander was not as cheerful.

- It's sad to lose of course, especially since we played so much better today than we did recently.

This was a step in the right direction but I think we can do even better, says Filander.

Malmö lost the derby

Malmö did well in the derby against the table Rögle but went there with 3-1 in the end after Oskar Stål-Lyrenäs decided the match with a goal in the open box with one and a half minutes left to play.

- There is a lot of emotion, I do not think we get up to the level we can play at.

This last edge is missing today, says Malmö's coach Tomas Kollar who has not given up the dream of playoffs despite being the worst of the team in the playoffs.

- We have all been pressured, it is hard to be at the bottom and fight for their existence in the league, it has been tough but now we have straightened it out and done it damn well.

I'm proud of the guys' performance during this time that it's been hard.

They have done a terribly good job and deserve all the praise, but now it's over, we have two games left and we'll win them.

Now we really have everything to gain.
