Sharjah succeeds in the "Al-Zawraa" challenge and qualifies for the first group

The team won the qualification ticket to the group stage of the AFC Champions League after defeating its Iraqi guest Al-Zawra by penalty kicks 7-6 after the end of the original and extra time with a 1-1 draw during the meeting that brought them together this evening, Tuesday, at the Sharjah Club Stadium, in the deciding match within the qualifying round for the role Groups, and Sharjah will play in the first group, which includes the Saudi Al Hilal teams, Al Rayyan Qatar and Istiklal Dushanbe of Tajikistan.

Sharjah goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani saved the seventh penalty kick for the Iraqi team.

Al-Zawraa took the lead through Saad Abdel-Amir (60), and the substitute player Khaled Bawazeer returned his team to the match again after scoring the equalizer from a penalty kick (88).

 The second half of the original time of the match saw the Brazilian player of Sharjah, Caio Lucas, miss a penalty kick (53), while Iraq goalkeeper Jalal Hassan received a red card (122).
