Portuguese coach Fernando Valente tells the story of Ukrainian Georgy Sudakov, midfielder for the Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk, during the Russian war on Ukraine.

Sudakov, who played under Valenti at Shakhtar, is forced to hide in a shelter with his pregnant wife.

Valenti said - in a post on Facebook and Twitter - "Georgi Sudakov is the greatest talent I have ever trained; he is 19 years old, an international player and recently renewed his contract with Shakhtar until 2026.

“He wanted to be a father, he had many dreams to fulfill, but those dreams turned into nightmares, and now he is in a shelter during a meaningless war. I cry for this couple and for all the young players and friends I left behind in Ukraine that gave me two years of happiness . My heart is broken".

Valenti explained, "Sudakov has a huge potential to play for Barcelona or Manchester City; he is the best talent I have trained and I have a strong relationship with him.
