31 players in the Syrian national team list in preparation for the matches of Lebanon and Iraq in the World Cup qualifiers

The Syrian Football Association announced the list of the players of the first football team, called for the matches “Nisour Qasioun”, against Lebanon and Al-Irq on March 24 and 29, to calculate the third round of the decisive qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, in a list that included according to the choices of coach Ghassan Maatouk, 31 players, 27 of whom will be selected to play the two matches.

The list witnessed the return of goalkeeper Ahmed Madania, and the appearance of Al Wathba Club goalkeeper, the leader of the Syrian league, Hussein Rahal, next to the main goalkeeper of the national team, Ibrahim Al-Alameya, and his colleague Khaled Al-Hajji Othman, while the defense line recorded the summoning of Ahmed Al-Saleh, Amr Medani, Abdullah Al-Shami, Saad Ahmed, Youssef Muhammad, Hussein Juweed and Muayyad Al-Khouli. Omar Janiyat and Muayyad Al-Ajjan, and the list in the midfield includes Khaled Kardaghli, Thaer Karuma, Kamel Hamisheh, Muhammad Al-Anz, Oliver Caskaw, Muhammad Al-Hallaq, Muhammad Rihana and the young talent Musaffa Junaid, Muhammad Al-Marmour, Mulham Baboli and Hussam Ayesh, and Mardec Mardekian will return to the Syrian team’s offensive line next to Mahmoud Al-Bahr And Alaa Al-Dali, Mahmoud Al-Mawas, Ayaz Othman, Omar Khribin and Omar Al-Soma.

The Syrian team is playing its matches in search of an honorary victory, after the “Qasioun Eagles” lost their chances in competing for one of the qualifying cards for the World Cup. The Iranian team with 22 points, two points ahead of the runner-up South Korea, and the UAE team occupies the third place, which qualifies for the play-offs with nine points, three points behind the fourth-placed Lebanese team, and four points from Iraq, the fifth in the group.
