The seven-time Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton, will add to his name that of his mother, Carmen Larbalestier, in order to honor her, said the British driver on Monday in Dubai.
"My mother's name is Larbalestier and I'm about to add it to mine," said the Mercredes team driver during a Q&A on a stage at the Dubai World Expo. .
The change will “soon” take place, said the 37-year-old driver who should therefore soon race under the name Hamilton-Larbalestier.
"I don't really understand the idea that the bride loses her name when she gets married," continued the pilot who "really" wants his mother's name not to disappear.
