Karim Benzema scored two goals near the end and made a goal, but he injured his ankle during Real Madrid's 3-0 victory over Real Mallorca, to achieve its fourth win in a row and consolidate its lead in the Spanish Football League on Monday.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti's team consolidated its lead with 66 points from 28 games, 10 points ahead of second-placed Sevilla, who tied

1-1 with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday in their sixth tie in 8 matches.

At the Iberostar stadium, Real Mallorca excelled among its fans and was the most eager to score, amid Real's inability to find offensive solutions, despite some attempts by Vinicius.

But the situation changed in the second half, as the royal performance began to improve until Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for Real in the 55th minute after a defensive error, and the Brazilian player benefited from the pass of his French colleague Benzema.

The attacking pressure of Real continued in the following minutes, which resulted in a mistake against Vinicius, a penalty kick that Benzema translated into a second goal by the 77th minute.

The French striker scored the third goal with a header in the 82nd minute after a cross from Marcelo, but he injured his left ankle and left the field amid the concern of the royal fans and his technical staff.

Benzema raised his score to 22 goals, to be ranked alone in the top scorer of the League, 8 goals behind Vinicius from his nearest competitor.
