Thobias Montler is not only strong in championships, but also in form.

The same night that Armand Duplantis broke the world record in Belgrade on Monday, Thobias Montler repeated the same competition, with the year's best indoor 8.23.

He is currently world number four indoors this year, just three centimeters from one, and two centimeters from the Greek Miltiadis Tentoglou who became world number two when he won the competition in Belgrade before Montler.

Montler's Swedish indoor record is from last year, when he took European Championship silver with 8.31.
