The alpine competitions take place this weekend in Åre.

Today there is a slalom for the ladies - where Anna Swenn Larsson made a good effort at the first run.

The Swede got down quickly and in a controlled manner and placed third before the second run, eleven hundredths behind the leader Lena Duerr.

- It was a great ride and great to get down well.

But I feel that there is even more.

Some games were really good and it was fun, says Swenn Larsson to SVT Sport.

In second place before the second run is Petra Vlahova, 0.08 seconds behind Duerr.

Sovereign Mikaela Shiffrin takes fourth place, 25 percent behind the leader.

The compatriot is missing

Sara Hector, who injured her ligament when she strayed in yesterday's giant slalom, was not on today's starting list.

- I talked to her yesterday and then she said she would feel for today.

I do not know the status of her today but it is really sad and I really hope it is not something serious, says Swenn Larsson.

The second run starts at 13.45.
