This weekend, the World Cup season ends with competitions in Falun.

But for William Poromaa, who recently took the first podium of his career in the World Cup, the season continues.

He will compete in the cross-country cup Ski Classics - Norwegian classic Birkebeinerrennet, and Reistadlöpet.

- I drove one last year and think it's fun to compete so I try to get together a little more after Falun.

I look forward to running those longer races, says Poromaa to SVT Sport.

Was it the team that contacted you or was it you who threw out a hook?

- Well, it was actually the team I will go for that got in touch at the beginning of the season and then I said that we can take it after the Olympics.

So I heard from me again and then they were still hungry so it was fun.

"Dad Larry will be there"

The expectations of the races are to keep in good shape.

- I will try to keep in shape for those races as well.

It is clear that they will turn off a bit now after Falun, but I will go away and have fun, says the 21-year-old.

Larry Poromaa also gains continued confidence as a waller after the success in Lahti, Finland.

- It will be fun, he was in Lahti and now there will be some competitions at the end so it will be very fun.

What can you take with you from the last long race?

- To be a little more on your toes, it is also good to have with you how to set up the races.

"Up there and sniffing"

But first it is the World Cup in Falun where Poromaa is ready.

- I will really try to get something good and go for it all the way, it feels like the form has been very good and I hope for good skis and a good body so it will probably be fun, he says and continues:

- It is the stool I am aiming for now, third in Lahti and fifth in Holmenkollen, then you are up there and sniffing all the time so it is clear that the stool is what I am aiming for.
