It is noteworthy that, last January, the Executive Office of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced the preliminaries for the upcoming Asian Cup, with the participation of 18 teams divided equally between the Arab and Eastern regions, with 8 teams qualifying for the main qualifiers for the 2025 Asian Cup, and joining the 16 teams that It had previously qualified for the 2022 Asian Cup, before the Palestinian Basketball Association was finally announced that it had won the honor of hosting the first window, starting next May, as the Palestinian team plays at home in front of its fans in the second group qualifiers, which includes next to it the teams of Iraq, Kuwait, Uzbekistan and Bangladesh.
