The Swedish ski star Calle Halfvarsson has had a difficult season - until today.

The 32-year-old opened strongly in Falun over 15 kilometers freestyle and finished second in the race.

An effort that SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist praises.

- It's so much fun for Calle.

He has such amazing capacity when he has good days.

And I think it is very important for him to have a day like this, he says and continues:

- What he does today is world class.

Those he meets and beats - that is the highest level.

"Incredibly important"

What do you think this means for him?

- This can be the difference for his future, if he decides to make a real investment towards the next championship.

Incredibly important for him to get up on a podium, at home as well.

Does this indicate that he has more to offer on this stage?

- Yes, it does.

He proves it and I have always thought that there are few in the world who have his conditions.

For Calle, it has been about making the investment work and that the details should stick together.

Then he is really good

What conclusions do you draw from this competition?

- It's about him landing that "I want to give this two more years".

This gives a basic reassurance that when he has good days, he is really good.

It is important to have good days more often.
