Al Ain showed the champion personality in the 19th round of the ADNOC Professional League, and was able to expand the lead to seven points after defeating his direct chaser and runner-up Al Wahda, in the match that was held at Al Nahyan Stadium in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

The leader’s summit was threatened before this round, after losing two points against Al-Uruba in the 18th round, reducing the difference between him and Al-Wahda to four points, which created great excitement in the confrontation, but Al-Ain’s experience enabled him to come out with the three points, to become the 14th title of the league paved to reach the Zain House.

The round did not witness any big surprises, especially for the clubs seeking to be in the golden square. Sharjah and Al Jazeera won, with difficulty, over Ajman and Al-Uruba. Sharjah remained in third place with 36 points, and the difference that separates it from the second-placed unit became only three points.

Al-Jazira went on with its victories and escaped the defensive Arabism trap and managed to win with a goal without a response, to retain the fourth place with 35 points, and there is still an opportunity for him to advance in the competition table, as he has a postponed match against Kalba and winning its result will make him advance over third-placed Sharjah.

Shabab Al-Ahly continued its defeat against its rival Al-Wasl and lost by two goals without a response, to retain the fifth place, which has become threatened after the difference between it and the sixth-placed Baniyas, who beat Al-Nasr with two goals to one, narrowed.

Al-Wasl improved in the league, jumping two places and occupying the seventh, with 26, while Ajman continued its decline in the league table after receiving the second loss in a row, against Sharjah.

Al Dhafra continued its positive results under the leadership of its Moroccan coach, Badr al-Din al-Idrisi, and imposed a positive draw on Kalba 2/2, to move five points away from the closest candidate for relegation, Al-Uruba. The Emirates team also achieved a moral victory over Khorfakkan 2-1, which revived its hopes of survival.
