"Saraba", "Ali", "Ghaid" and "Mayhab" shine at the Al-Wusta Camel Festival

The Al Wusta Camel Racing Festival, in its second edition, was launched at the Sharjah Club, with a large participation of camel owners, which will last for two consecutive days for the Haqaqa and Al-Laqaya categories, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Sharjah. He ensured their interest in the national heritage, especially the ancient sport of camel racing, and urged the next generation to adhere to it.



"Sarabah" by Khalifa Ali Muhammad bin Lahej Al-Ketbi managed to win the sword in the first half, recording a time of 5:54:6 minutes, while "High" by Hamad Rashid Obaid Humaid Al-Ketbi won the dagger in the second half, recording a time of 5:51:3 minutes. “Jebara” by Ahmed Salem bin Saeed Al-Khasooni Al-Ketbi won the third round in a time of 5:51:8 minutes, and “Jayer” by Ali Rashid bin Ruwaijda Al-Ketbi won the fourth round in a time of 5:55:10 minutes.



On the other hand, “Tip” by Muhammad Ali Muhammad Al-Marri starred and won the open sword of Al-Abkar in a time of 5:52:36 minutes. Swords” by Ahmed Saeed bin Manana Al Ketbi on the law of the third half, after the distance was covered in 6:08:02 minutes.

And he concluded the open runs "Adeem" by Ali Suhail Balasoud Al-Amri in a time of 6:07:38 minutes.



For his part, the head of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, praised the generous care and lofty directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Within the state and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, represented by the Al Wusta Canal Festival, this good initiative that made everyone happy, pointing to the great response and the wide participation of owners who came from all fields of the state and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. He added that the Sharjah Club is keen to conduct this festival in an honorable manner.
