The first Israeli national team player from the Winter Paralympics participated in the Beijing Paralympic Games, the Alpine Skiing Women's Giant Slalom on the 11th.

The first Israeli national team to participate in the Winter Paralympics is 20-year-old Sheine Baspi.

Baspi lost his left leg in a car accident at the age of three.

He started skiing at the age of 16, and since it hardly snows in Israel, he has been practicing overseas, such as in the United States, since he began to engage in full-scale competition.

Baspi made his first appearance in the Giant Slalom Women's Slalom Skiing class on the 11th, and slipped in a skirt over a ski suit, following the teachings of Jewish beliefs.

In the past, it was pointed out that wearing a skirt and going to the race was "dangerous at the time of the turn", but both times it was a stable turn and slipped to the end, 22 people participated. I finished 15th in the class I did.

After the race, Baspi said, "I'm happy that my religious rules have been accepted," and said, "I'm very proud to be the first Israeli national team to participate in the Winter Paralympics." I'm happy. "
