　　At the same time, this is also the second gold medal Liu Mengtao has won at this Winter Paralympics. Before that, he won the championship in the men's middle distance sitting group of the Paralympic Biathlon.

On the first competition day of the Beijing Winter Paralympics, Liu Mengtao also won the bronze medal in the men's sprint sitting group of the Paralympic Biathlon.

　　Liu Mengtao is from Handan, Hebei Province. In 2015, at the age of 14, with the encouragement of his family, he embarked on the road of sports, focusing on cross-country skiing and biathlon.

　　He won two gold medals in the 10th National Paralympic Games in 2019; three gold medals in the 11th National Paralympic Games in 2021; and three silver medals in the 2021 Finland Euro Cup.
