  Liu Mengtao is from Handan, Hebei Province. In 2015, at the age of 14, with the encouragement of his family, he embarked on the road of sports, focusing on cross-country skiing and biathlon.

  He won two gold medals in the 10th National Paralympic Games in 2019; three gold medals in the 11th National Paralympic Games in 2021; and three silver medals in the 2021 Finland Euro Cup.
