In an extracurricular activity a few years ago, he accidentally discovered that students had a strong interest in football. In order to enrich the children's extracurricular life and improve their physical fitness, Yuan Haigui was determined to strengthen physical education and promote campus football.

Without teachers and equipment, it is easier said than done to set up a football team in a township primary school that belongs to the football "desert"?

To this end, Yuan Haigui obtained the D-level coaching certificate of the Chinese Football Association at the age of 50, and became the only football coach in the school.

Taking into account the echelon construction, Yuan Haigui offered one football lesson a week in the second and third grades respectively.

In addition, every day from 6:50 to 7:50 in the morning and from 5:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon, it is Yuan Haigui's free football practice time.

In May 2019, as the champion of the Fenyi County campus football team, the Fengyang Primary School campus football team participated in the city's campus football competition.

"When I participated in the competition, I found out that there was a school women's football competition. Why didn't we set up a women's football team?" Yuan Haigui said. After the competition, Fengyang Primary School established a women's football team, which is also the first in Fenyi County. It is also the only women's football team on campus.

"Girls like football as much as boys, and girls are generally more diligent and punctual." Yuan Haigui was deeply touched during several years of training.

Women's football winger Hu Dongqin is 12 years old this year. Her parents are migrant workers in Guangdong. She lives in Xilang Village, which is seven kilometers away from the school. In order to catch up with the football training at 6:50 in the morning, she gets up at 6:00 every day to catch the school bus.

In the beginning, Hu Xiaoling was weak in her hands. Yuan Haigui asked her to hit the wall a hundred times a day to increase her hand strength. With the effect of training, Hu Xiaoling took the initiative to increase her strength to hit the wall two hundred times a day.

And the walls of their lives are slowly being broken down.

When he first started training, what Yuan Haigui saw from the girls were all similar personalities: insecure, sensitive, impatient, most of the speech was with their heads down, and they held their mobile phones all day... After getting into football, they became more confident, Cheerful, more self-disciplined and punctual, understand the rules.
