Tymoshychuk is currently the assistant coach of Russian Zenit St Petersburg and has been met with harsh criticism for not commenting on Russia's attack.
Now the Ukrainian Football Association wants all the former national team captain's titles and coaching licenses to be deleted with immediate effect.
They also want him deprived of all state awards and honorary titles.
"Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Tymoshenuk, the former captain of the Ukrainian national team, has not made a public statement.
He has also not ended his cooperation with the striker's club ", writes the Ukrainian Football Association's ethics and fair play committee in a statement on the association's website.
Tymoshchuk has played 144 international matches for Ukraine and has belonged to clubs such as Shakhtar Donetsk and Bayern Munich.
"At a time when his former club, Bayern Munich, are publishing statements and holding meetings in support of Ukraine, Tymoschuk continues to remain silent and work for the striker's club.
By making this conscious choice, Tymoshychuk damages the image of Ukrainian football and violates section 1.4.
