Liverpool won the first quarter-final in Italy 2-0 and Inter chased desperately from the start to have a chance to advance to the quarter-finals.

It was an even first half between the teams and in the 25th minute the match was paused.

This after some people from the audience had called for attention from the pitch where team doctors were sent up to the stands, with a defibrillator.

After a few minutes, the crowd was heard cheering and the match could be resumed.

Red card ruined for Inter

The first half ended 0-0 and Liverpool came out strongest in the second half.

But it was still Inter who would score the only goal of the match.

With 62 minutes played, Lautaro Martinez of FC fell dramatically just outside the penalty area.

But just a minute later Alexis Sanchez pulled on another warning, which meant that Inter had to end the match with ten men.

Mohamed Salah and Liverpool were then close to equalizing but that did not happen - Inter won the match but did not manage to advance to the quarterfinals when Liverpool won the first meeting 2-0.
