On the 8th of the 5th day of the Beijing Paralympics, medals were decided for 6 events for both men and women in biathlon.


Of these, Ukraine won a total of nine medals in gold, silver and bronze.

Ukraine dominated the podium with a 10-kilometer standing-sliding class for girls and a 10-kilometer visually impaired class for boys.

Vitaly Lucyanenko, who won the gold medal in the men's 10 kg, is the second gold medal in this tournament, following the men's 6 kg.


Ukraine won 9 medals, which is half of the 18 medals of gold, silver and bronze in the 6th biathlon held on the 8th.

China's Liu Yume Tou won the gold medal in the men's 10-kilometer sitting and sliding class.


This is the eighth gold medal in China.

Nada's Mark Allenz won the gold medal in the men's 10-kilometer standing and sliding class.

Canada is the fifth gold medal in the tournament.

Germany's Leonie Maria Balter won the gold medal in the women's 10-kilometer visually impaired class.

Balter had won a bronze medal at 6 kg for women.

Kendall Gretsch of the United States won the gold medal in the women's 10-kilometer sitting and sliding class.

Gretsch participated in the triathlon at the Tokyo Paralympics last summer and won a gold medal.

The silver medal is Oksana Masters, an American representative from Ukraine who won the women's 6 kg in this tournament.

Masters is the third medal in this tournament, including cross-country skiing.
