A press report stated that mediation succeeded in the past few days in dissolving the differences between the star Hakim Ziyech and the coach of the Moroccan national team, Vahid Halilhodzic, which opens the door for the return of the Chelsea striker to the Atlas Lions.

Halilhodzic has excluded striker Ziyech from the Moroccan national team's list since last September, and the Bosnian coach justified his decision with disciplinary reasons, and Ziyech responded by announcing that he would not return to the team again.

However, developments in the last hours may push each party to change its position, as the Moroccan newspaper "Al-Muntakhab" reported that the former player Al-Hussein Kharja led a mediation in order to bring the views closer between Ziyash and Halilhodzic.

The newspaper pointed out that Kharja acted on behalf of the Moroccan Football Association, and said that the mediation succeeded, and it expected that the Chelsea star will return to the team that is preparing to face the Democratic Republic of the Congo back and forth at the end of this month in the decisive role of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ziyech, 28, played 40 international matches with the Atlas Lions and scored 17 goals, and he is one of the most prominent Moroccan players in Europe, along with Paris Saint-Germain defender Ashraf Hakimi, and Seville duo Yassine Bounou and Youssef Al-Nusairi.
