A shocking number for the losses of Saudi clubs from the dismissal of coaches

Saudi League clubs paid about 85 million riyals to dismiss 17 coaches this season, according to press reports today, Monday.

And Malaeb newspaper quoted the economic expert, Moqbel bin Judaya, as saying: "The local clubs paid a heavy price for the decisions of their administrations to dismiss the coaches before the completion of their contracts."

She added: "Some contracts are not formulated in a way that protects the clubs and their rights, and this has bad consequences for the clubs in meeting the terms of financial efficiency, and instead of increasing incomes, there is a financial waste due to the cancellation of contracts, which is negatively reflected on them."

He continued, "So far, we have reached 17 coaches with an average of about five million riyals, and this is a very large number, so the clubs need to control financial matters, and this causes confusion in their budgets before the Ministry of Sports, as the governance points will be reduced in the club's support strategy."
