President of Mars: We were subjected to arbitrary injustice in front of Al-Ahly

Hazem Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sudanese Al-Merreikh Club, confirmed that his team played a big match against Al-Ahly Club of Egypt in the African Champions League matches, despite the 2-3 loss.

Hazem Mustafa said in televised statements to the Egyptian Al-Nahar channel yesterday that his team played a big match against Al-Ahly Club, but there were fatal mistakes behind the loss.

He added, "We were subjected to arbitrary injustice in front of Al-Ahly today. The referee cautioned 4 players. I was hoping for the presence of the video referee technology (VAR) and I was surprised that it was not present in the group stage matches."

He explained, "Our next match against Al-Ahly will be in Egypt at Al-Salam Stadium... I demand that the number of Sudanese fans be more than Al-Ahly's fans, and this is a condition for holding the match in Egypt, especially since it will be our match, not the Al-Ahly match."
