• The Nantes Collective was born last June.

He is working on a project to take over FC Nantes and is preparing for the aftermath of Kita.

  • Mickaël Landreau is at the origin of the Nantes Collective, and wishes to integrate the supporters of FC Nantes.

  • A crowdfunding is launched this Monday and will allow supporters to be represented on the club's board.

The FC Nantes takeover project is progressing.

In the shadows for more than six months and the presentation of the Nantes Collective to the press, Mickaël Landreau and Philippe Plantive have not stopped working on this file.

For an alternative to Waldemar Kita, president of the FCN since 2007. After outlining their project last June, the former member of the Yellow House and the leader of the Loire company Proginov announce the launch of a crowdfunding from Monday, March 7, at 2 p.m.

They had announced it, “the supporters are almost at the genesis of this project”.

The representatives of the Nantes Collective are also in permanent communication with the groups of Yellow and Green supporters.

From now on, the latter can become shareholders of a college of funders, who will represent them on the club's board of directors.

Each person who supports this club takeover project can participate from 100 €.

A strong wish on the part of the Nantes Collective, which intends to democratize this process.

, Mickaël Landreau believes that this crowdfunding is “an important step.

We keep moving forward.

Legitimize the project further

A way also to give it a little more weight, to legitimize it, with a view to a future discussion with Waldemar Kita.

“This crowdfunding is something human.

It is a common good, an anchor in the territory…”, indicates the former doorman of the Yellow House.

“The goal is to show that everyone can participate.

We have also been working on what all the stakeholders around the club want to experience for months.

A petition launched in support of the project had also collected more than 12,000 signatures following the first presentation of the Nantes Collective.

Big names from FC Nantes like Devinaud, Da Rocha, Denoueix or Ouedec are also among these supporters.

Some are working today to make this desire to take over the club concrete.

The Collectif Nantes does not have an objective for this crowdfunding.

Its limit is legally set at 8 million euros.

“There will be three representatives of crowdfunding on the board of directors of the Nantes Collective, with representatives depending on the sums paid into crowdfunding”, explains Mickaël Landreau.

"The day when we consider ourselves sufficiently armed"

Today, the amount raised by the Nantes Collective from investors is around 7.5 million euros.

At the same time, the Nantes Collective continues to work on the project it wishes to set up for the club, both from a sporting and ethical point of view.

Mickaël Landreau and Philippe Plantive (of which Proginov is a sponsor of the FCN) also continue to tow to find a majority shareholder.

If their wish turned to a local entrepreneur at the start, it would seem that other avenues are being studied.

But there is no question of an “above ground” project as was the case, for example, in Bordeaux with King Street, which has since left.

With the launch of this crowdfunding campaign, the Nantes collective is taking a new step.

Opposite, it is still difficult to know the position of Waldemar Kita in the face of a possible takeover proposal.

" I did not leave.

I'm still here, "he said at Beaujoire, on the evening of the qualification of the Canaries in the final of the Coupe de France.

Seller or not, he will receive an offer from the Nantes Collective, as soon as it is respectable.

“We will go the day when we consider ourselves sufficiently armed to discuss.

Simply.

But it's not just the money, there's also the day when we'll be ready.
