Brynäs has had a hard time lately, not least at home and has slowly but surely fallen closer to the qualifying battle in the table.

After two straight 0-2 losses at home against Linköping and Djurgården respectively, patience has also begun to run low among the fans.

There was not much in the first period that suggested that there would be a goal celebration for the home team this Sunday night either, but in the final minutes of the first period, it suddenly narrowed in both directions.

Two quick goals

First out was Frölunda forward Michael Spacek who after winning the Frölunda draw and shot by Simon Edvinsson forced a return to 1-0 with 2.31 left of the initial period.

And with only 46 seconds left until the break, Brynäsbacken Tom Hedberg finally broke his team's, then almost nine periods long, goal drought at home when he equalized to 1-1 in numerical disadvantage with a shot.

-Incredibly nice to be able to equalize before we go into the period break so that you come out to equal, stated the goal scorer himself in C More.

In the middle of the second period, Frölunda had a goal ruled out for a goalie.

Joel Lundqvist did not like it, who after a discussion with the referee went out for a chat and only nine seconds later, Frölundabacken Christian Folin also went out for slashing.

Games in five against three in 1.51 and a golden position for Brynäs thus and after only 20 seconds in that form of play, the home team's Noel Gunler increased to 2-1.

Pulled away

A little while later, Brynäs forward Tomi Sallinen managed to step in 3-1 at the first post, but Brynäsglädjen did not last long as the scoring machine Ryan Lasch stayed in front of a bouncing puck and flying in the air hit the reduction to 3-2.

Frölunda forward's 58th point so far.

In the third period, it was mainly Frölunda who lined up chances and, among other things, hit the goal frame for the second time in the match, but when the Gävle team had to play powerplay in the final minutes, Brynäs forward Oula Palve punctured the match with a distinct goal in the far corner (4-2).

Team captain Anton Rödin then filled in with a fifth goal, now in an empty cage (5-2):

-We compete all the time, it is a battle for every single puck, every single centimeter and we are hard to meet so we make a good match.
