China News Service, Beijing, March 7th (Liu Xingchen) Under the guidance of Chinese volunteers, the contestants who finished the competition will come to the mixed interview area one after another.

Such scenes have been staged many times at the National Alpine Ski Center during the Beijing Winter Paralympics.

Behind the bright smiles of foreign athletes, how do they view this trip to China?

enjoy life here

"We really enjoyed our trip to China. The Paralympic Village (Yanqing) is really beautiful, and we enjoy living here. We can play games and video games, which is great!" Skiing in the Paralympic Mountains Athlete Alexandra Rexova and facilitator Eva Trajčkova said they were already impressed by the pleasant experience in the Paralympic Village.

Indeed, the three Paralympic villages of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games provided meticulous services for the "villagers" in terms of food, housing and transportation.

The buildings of the Yanqing Winter Paralympic Village are built on the mountain, showing the unique style of Chinese architecture.

There are restaurants, licensed merchandise retail stores, fitness and entertainment centers and other living facilities in the village, which strive to meet the various needs of the participants.

Mexican paralympic alpine skier Peñalosa praised, "I really think the room is very good, the bed is very comfortable, the mattress can be adjusted to lean up. Also, the food is amazing."

Impressive accessibility

When talking about the barrier-free facilities at the Beijing Winter Paralympics, German Paralympic alpine skier Anna-Lena Foster said, "The (barrier-free facilities) here are perfect, and I didn't encounter any problems." Niki, the coach of the Dutch Paralympic Alpine Ski Team who participated in the Sochi and Pyeongchang Winter Paralympics, was also impressed by the facilities of the Yanqing Winter Paralympic Village and the National Alpine Ski Center. The best Winter Paralympics I've ever participated in!"

Walking on the alpine cable car leading to the alpine ski center, the spacious space allows people to feel a bit of comfort between intense competitions while enjoying the unique scenery outside the window.

Before the start of the competition, many athletes will carry ski equipment on their backs, take snowboards and snow equipment to take the cable car up the mountain for training.

In order to better serve the Paralympic athletes, volunteers will be on standby at the entrance of the cable car.

In addition, the control room controls the speed of the cable car to ensure a smooth ride for disabled athletes.

Petra Huber, secretary general of the Austrian delegation, once said, "Athletes can easily get on the cable car and go up the mountain for training and competition."

Thanks to the volunteers

In the media center of the National Alpine Ski Center, a Chinese volunteer is leaning over to explain the precautions of the venue to foreign reporters, writing a few strokes on paper from time to time.

"Thank you for your writing" (Thank you for writing this for me), foreign reporters quickly thanked; in the athlete's restaurant, volunteers guided visually impaired athletes to get information about dishes by touching the Braille menu...

From the media center to the stadium, to the ferry bus stop, you can always see Chinese volunteers serving enthusiastically. Around them, Chinese and foreign athletes and journalists always have smiles on their faces.

"The volunteers have helped us a lot and we are very grateful for the help we have received. The Yanqing Winter Paralympic Village is well built, the rooms and beds are very comfortable, and the transportation is very convenient. Really great!" Australia representative Regiment leader Kate McLoughlin said so.

"China is really beautiful, and the performances at the opening ceremony are equally wonderful. We are very happy here." Paralympic alpine skier Johannes Aigner and guide Matteo Fleischmann replied with a smile.

As the Beijing Winter Paralympics continue, in this early spring full of friendship and beauty, I believe that more foreign athletes will regard this trip to China as a precious memory.
